Layla is a Lawyer in our Criminal Law Team.
Layla completed her Bachelor of Laws in 2016 at Griffith University and her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at The College of Law.
Layla undertook her Practical Legal Training at a local law firm and has gained significant experience in appearing at mentions, sitting in on trials before the District and Supreme Courts, filing court documents, liaising with various court personnel, attending prison visits and conducting legal research.
Layla’s highly developed negotiation and mediation skills saw Layla win the 2014 Ashurst Lawyers Negotiation competition though Griffith University and be a semi-finalist in the 2015 Clayton Utz Negotiation competition.
This detailed experience, combined with Layla’s superior communication skills, enables Layla to put client’s minds at ease during what is often a stressful time in their lives, while delivering the best possible legal solutions.
Layla’s expert time management skills also ensure clients are kept up-to-date with any developments and supported each step of the way.
